Charles Billington

It’s no secret that wage-and-hour litigation has dramatically risen. Pandemic-related business interruptions, state and federal safety-and-health mandates, and hybrid work environments added even complexity to wage-and-hour compliance, which could expose companies to even more legal risk. This session will cover ongoing and new wage-and-hour considerations as we (hopefully) emerge from the pandemic and what in-house counsel and HR professionals can do now to reduce the chance of wage-and-hour litigation.

While we don’t promise to be as entertaining as reality television, we’ll work through live scenarios based on recent developments as the Americans with Disabilities Act continues to evolve in our rapidly changing business environment. This presentation covers developments in employers’ obligations related to accommodating employees, with an emphasis on the coming wave of Covid-litigation, technological changes, and litigation avoidance strategies.
