This session will provide an overview of recent developments at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) under the Trump Administration, including key decisions, policy shifts, and the implications of leadership changes. Attendees will gain insights into the evolving landscape of labor relations and what to expect in the near future.

Libby Callan, of counsel in the Vorys Cincinnati office, will share insight from her experience in defending employers against discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims.  Drawing from her background as a judge and mediator, Libby will provide practical guidance on conducting workplace investigations and utilizing mediation to resolve disputes.  This session will offer valuable information for HR professionals and business leaders navigating workplace compliance.

Erin French, a partner in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a seasoned litigator, will present an in-depth session on navigating the complexities of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  With significant experience in litigating harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases, Erin will provide an update on the ADA and FMLA and provide practical guidance on legal compliance, ADA accommodations, and managing employee leave under FMLA.  Attendees will gain valuable strategies to handle these challenging issues with confidence while minimizing legal risks.

J.B. Lind, a partner in the Vorys Cincinnati office, will lead a session focused on key strategies and legal considerations in workers' compensation.  With extensive experience litigating and advising on all aspects of Ohio's Workers' Compensation system, J.B. will share valuable insights on effectively managing claims, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.  Attendees will gain practical, actionable knowledge to confidently navigate the complexities of workers' compensation.

This session will cover the evolving U.S. immigration landscape under the Trump Administration, including what employers should do if ICE visits their company, how to prepare for an I-9 audit, and the impact of immigration executive orders and other changes implemented by the administration.
